Often there is this perception of balance between Innovation and Reliability as if they are opposite to each other and I beg to differ. It is possible to be innovative in being more reliable for example if you are delivering food , and you try a better way to package so the food stays warmer for longer time , this innovation does not impact the reliability of your service but enhance it . So be cognizant of this and focus on making evolutionary changes via innovation and not revolutionary changes that tend to impact reliability

Similarly if you donot adopt to ever changing needs to customers, you may see customers leaving you. For reliability, define metrics, aim at continuous improvement & take regular feedbacks For innovation, define measurable outcome from the experiment, ensure its aligned to a business goal & define pivot or preserve milestones
