There are a number of faults in ESG reporting because every industry has different methods of reporting information. The lack of global consensus has been a barrier to creating a common framework to communicate the standards and practices of environmental stewardship. It is important to scan the market and adopt the standards the peers are utilising and are widely accepted in the regions of operations. This will allow for focused effort and standardization of information. Most importantly it shall help in cohesive communication.
