We may still do the old conventional ways, but digitized platforms make it a quick and fast ending way to complete our assignments. These quick communications are also ideal for enhanced relationships, understanding and make a transparent deal of work to complete with and within time.

Giving the space to employees to express themselves and their views regarding the work environment and how it can be improved, how does it relate to our values and how to enhance some and how to start stopping some bad behaviors gradually is very key in the journey of culture change and you need to start by your values and how to converge towards it in a collective way. Using digital communities and collaborative tools is helping achieving this target as it is handy, engaging and bidirectional, I.e. you can push and open subjects and you can get feedback with looking and statistics as well, which will help as well in basing your direction on numbers

There can be no disagreement on use of AI for facilitating dialogue especially amongst different language groups. However communication is not transmission of messages and ideas. As John Maxwell says, communication is all about connecting. It is about listening, valuing, involving and bonding. Intent is more important than technology.

We are leveraging collaborative platforms like Microsoft Teams to create a unified communication channel for our global workforce. These platforms allow seamless interaction across various locations, making it easier for teams to stay connected and aligned despite geographical differences.

Unified platforms are important, but even more critical is cultivating high-performing teams where technology becomes an enjoyable tool that enhances productivity and minimizes the need for constant communication. For me, unified platforms are not just about messaging and video calls - those are prerequisites today. What’s truly interesting is leveraging these platforms to enhance lessons learned and drive continuous improvement. By focusing on solution-driven collaboration and strategic approaches, we can use these platforms to foster a more efficient and harmonious work environment. The goal is to enhance our ability to connect, learn, and grow together, ultimately leading to better outcomes and a stronger, more cohesive team.

There are lots of digital ways to communicate these days. Whatever your team chooses, also make time to discuss how it fits into your ways of working For example: What tool is the team's first choice to use to connect? What's the backup method? What hours/days are open for connecting? (Important for different time zones and respecting days off) How long is ok to wait for a response before trying the back up tool? Will you send messages in off hours knowing that you'll wait for a response, or will you use a method with delayed delivery?

Sin duda, las tecnologías que adaptan los textos escritos a las necesidades del usuario. O bien, el hardware que adaptado a ellos, debe ser una parte de un trabajo inclusivo. Las tecnologías sólo son un apoyo, también hay que sensibilizar a las demás personas sobre la importancia de contar con éstas y de cómo diseñar procesos que de igual forma fomenten la inclusión laboral.

Inclusivity is for me the most impactful way technology has helped to unify or increase communication reach. Speech to Text or Captions have helped with communicationon a different level. Apart from hearing impairment, I have experienced poor communication due to varying accents or mispronounciation. Having such a tool fosters mutual understanding as while others listen, reading along is also empowering! Technology has taken down one more barrier and encouraged inclusive communication

Subtitles in a real time of conversation, like the ones on MS Teams, can make the audience to achieve two goals: ⭐️ pass the information in writing that can be kept and ⭐️ enhance learning thanks to reading the spoken text at the time. In case your audience is multilingual, multicultural, using words visualisation can provide real help as speakers from different countries can have natural problems with hearing some sounds. When speech is fast, subtitles also help to understand it. Seeing and hearing teaches easily the language - it’s additional benefit. This method helped me in learning during video recording sessions of philosophy (American English, while my origin is Polish).

Moderate! A way to check in on communication via platforms is via human moderation. Moderators who understand the preferred culture deeply can join ongoing conversations (or start them) expressing the desired culture and behavior and give feedback on undesired culture and behavior. Moderators work as filters like a desired culture is a filter. If there are more moderators it is smart that they review their work together on a regular basis to ‘improve’ the filters used over time

Es importante trabajar en el mindset de los trabajadores para poder fomentar una cultura abierta a la diversidad de todo tipo, herramientas tecnológicas, mailing, mensajes positivos e inclusivos que lleven implícito el compromiso de la alta dirección y todos los líderes son fundamentales para que toda la comunidad laboral sea capaz de hacer esta apertura de barreras psicológicas, culturales y linguísticas.

It is important to notice that technology is still a mean of communication, and should not replace human connection or critical thinking. Ideally the technology should enable access to broader scope of information , but not define a novel culture itself. Culture is an aggregated set of behaviors that are expressed by humans. Everyone , who is part of an ecosystem , creates the culture of it. Being able to "read the room" and respond adequately , to have the sensitivity of cultural diversity - this is what makes us human. We are to be smart of using technology to help in that , rather than the tech to drive our culture.

I love using the three questions of: - What do we keep doing? - What do we stop doing? - What do we start doing? Using these questions, for feedback, to look at ways to enhance communication can allow for continuous improvement.

Antes que nada, es fundamental saber para qué queremos aplicar la encuesta, quiénes son el público objetivo, y así diseñar el cuestionario de la forma que se ajuste a este propósito y recabemos la información más completa y confiable posible. Cuando los cuestionarios únicamente incluyen preguntas genéricas sin un campo para agregar notas, no se comunican los resultados y no se hace nada por mejorar en donde se deben tomar acciones, muchos de los participantes se ven obligados a no expresar su opinión sobre los temas que realmente les preocupan provocando cada vez menos participación en estos ejercicios.

The key is to make sure it doesn’t replace the need for genuine follow up conversations that are two way and help get to the core of the issue. The risk without this is we interpret the feedback “our” way and miss the true intent.
