Career Transitioning Processes require significant level of due diligence by the person who is transitioning as well as the one who is encouraging and/or supporting the same. What will you offer and why? Who else does it? Why will you be better/quicker/cheaper? IS there a new way to do it that is easier? Build a project plan for your business and work out if you can undertake all of the tasks within it or will you need extra help from outside?

Do you already have a good network of people to work with and orbit around? What events could you attend or co-partner with someone on? Will you be looking to be a sub contract to others or create partners from your level?

The financial aspect of the transition from engineer to entrepreneur is the key. 1- learn how to manage your money ( training, professional advices…) 2- create incomes through investments ( financial markets, crypto,real estate…) 3- focus on your vision and work hard to achieve it

This is probably the trickiest bit for most new entrepreneurs as you don't learn it until you try your own business. You can however build a budget and also let others see it and get some feedback? How will you ensure the cash you have stretched far enough? Can you ask for really quick payment terms for a discount? Can you make invoicing as easy and quick as possible so it is never running behind?

Your biggest asset in your entrepreneurial journey will be… yourself. Developing a process to create trust with yourself will be your saving grace when experiencing the hurdles, challenges and learning curves that come with starting something new and in particular, starting a business. Without self-trust, you risk your resilience and innovation to waver, and those qualities are what you’ll call on again and again along an entrepreneurial journey. There is not enough market research in the world to be able to project what your exact journey will unfold like- so your best preparation lies within your ability to trust yourself in any situation.
