In my view Burn out can happen in any sector. The BPO sector in particular gets highlighted due to the monotony of roles, inability to deal with the environment, high target pressure, fear of job loss etc. If you think objectively all of this is also applicable to other sectors. A few things that can be tried from a functional aspect - Understanding the job role and career ladders. Try to upgrade oneself so that the role enhancement can beat monotony. Understand the performance drivers so that you are in control - From an emotional aspect, remember that physical exercise, breathing techniques will always help. Volunteering is another way of expanding ones horizon and building a community where one gets intrinsic satisfaction.
