Whilst all this is true in theory, excellent planning is taking the delivery stakeholders on a trusted journey - and having clear relevant metrics like a GPS to show them progress (and when it happens traffic blocks). Their expertise is not in understanding detailed plans so don't lose sight of that and craft a journey for them to understand that captures these key ingredients in the right way.
