Advancing your career in BPO is largely dependent on continuously acquiring new skills. During my career, I took the initiative to upskill through specialized training programs. For example, I completed a certification in data analytics, which significantly enhanced my ability to interpret complex data and drive decision-making. This led to a successful project where we implemented data-driven improvements in our call center operations, reducing response times and increasing customer satisfaction. Utilizing platforms like LinkedIn Learning and industry workshops can help stay ahead, ensuring you remain competitive and ready for leadership roles in the evolving BPO landscape.

Skills, may it be leadership, analytical, people management or operational excellence can be learned, developed or polished over a period of time and these skills are very essential to grow in BPO or any other industry. Communication skils and problem solvings skills are also crucial in a BPO environment. All you need is to find the right mentor, course and practice. If harnessed properly, sky is the limit to grow. If you combine all the above skills with some networking skills, you become unstoppable. Udemy is a great source of learning those skills. But the problem is people enroll for acquiring skills and don't complete. The completion rate stands merely at 4%.

Otherthan Linkedin, they are few groups in facebook or if you have a paid mentorship program, you get access to such networks. Even there are groups in whatsapp or telegram for professional Networking. But you have to be careful in joining networks as it can put your privacy at stake. Linkedin seems the safest of all. Post joining a network, remain active and contribe regularly keeps you visible and your credibility increases over a period of time.
