Announcing a new Member Rewards Online offer from the Rio
30% Off Prevailing Room Rate and NO RESORT FEE
This deal can save you multiple times your LVA membership fee on a single trip. The Rio’s RF is $44 per night. That’s a $132 saving on a 3-night stay, before adding in the 30% discount on the base rate. Great location a mile west of the Strip and walkable to the Palms and Gold Coast. The big news, though, is the resurgence of the Rio. Many don’t realize that when the Rio opened in 1990, it was one of Las Vegas’ hottest resorts. However, after being sold to Harrah’s, which became Caesars Entertainment, it was essentially ignored (1999-2019) and slowly devolved into an afterthought at best. Now, under the new ownership of Dreamscape, the Rio is being remade to the tune of a $350 million renovation. The upgrades are already evident on the exterior, where the hotel towers are lit up nightly with vibrant colors that pretty much trump any other outside presentation in town. But the money being spent is also evident in the renovated rooms in the Ipanema Tower. Here’s a recent report.
“The improvements at the Rio (hallways and rooms) are drastic. New furniture and big TVs, new paint in hallways and room, and new carpet. I’m happy as a clam here for the next four nights.”
The Rest of the Rio
Although the Carnival World Buffet isn’t coming back, the former buffet space now holds the just-opened Canteen Food Hall (photo below), with outlets specializing in chicken tenders, cheesesteaks, sushi, ramen, and more. Among several other restaurants are VooDoo Steak, KJ Dim Sum, Guy Fieri’s El Burro Borracho, Royal India Buffet (yes, there is still a buffet at the Rio), and several others.
There’s also more entertainment options here than just about any other resort in Vegas: Penn & Teller, WOW, Chippendales, and the bargain-priced “Comedy Cellar,” along with KISS Mini-Golf and bars throughout.
There’s still a lot to be done and plans are coming out regularly about new restaurants and other upgrades, but the room product definitely puts the Rio back in play and makes this discount, exclusive to LVA members, a powerhouse.
Booking Details
You can book your stay through this offer (phone only using the LVA code) for any dates in 2024, except for a few blackout periods. The booking window for this deal is the period during which you can make the reservation. As of now, it runs through March 31, meaning you have to book by then. This deadline is in place to give the casino flexibility if changes need to be made, including discontinuing the offer. If the Rio wants to continue, the window will be extended. If the offer is discontinued, but you've made your reservation, it will be locked in. There is no time stamp on this voucher, so you should print it out at the time that you make the reservation and keep it in a safe place to bring with you, as the terms require that it be presented at check-in.
As to what type of room you'll get, our feeling is they'll want to book you in a renovated room to show their best side and the efforts they're making to improve the property. We can't guarantee that, however, and suggest asking for a renovated room when you're speaking to the Rio agent on the phone.
This is a strong offer from a casino that wants your business. Other Member Rewards offers from the Rio include:
