Start at Rittergut Pegenau with the Herzensbäckerei (the name says it all!) and then to Naustadt to the church for an organ concert and opposite the three-sided courtyard with Henriette Preuß's glassblowing workshop/glass art and brass music to match. Lovely little courtyards!

A short round trip starting in Saint-Jorioz by boat to Annecy. We continued by bike along the Lac d'Annecy until just before Talloires and back. In Annecy we let ourselves drift through the old town next to the Le Thiou canal in the hustle and bustle of tourists before taking the last boat back to Saint-Jorioz.

The second hike from the parking spot at Lac de Grand Maison on hiking trail T2 (yellow dot) was very challenging. If we had been in better shape, the walk to the mountain lake Lac de l'Âne would have been doable. But we still had a wonderful panoramic view on the way and on a plateau (as far as the

A somewhat adventurous tour, as the ascent was more along sheep paths than hiking trails. Nevertheless, a wonderful view of the valley and the mountains (including the white peak of Mont Blanc) all around.

A small train takes you about 700m into the grotto (where there is no longer any track record).

It goes past rock carvings and paintings of mammoths, rhinos, ibexes and meadow ducks. And there are so-called bear nests - hollows in which bears hibernate.

A tour of the entire cave would probably take 10

Very opulent grotto with everything you could wish for from a stalactite cave. There are also cave paintings. They date from the Older Magdalenian period and are therefore probably around 17,000 years old.

The tour is in English and French.

If you like, you can then visit the small park with prehistoric

The main attraction was the Grand Menhir monolith, which today lies broken into four pieces on the ground. Around 5,000 years ago it measured 18.5m when standing and weighs 280t. It must have been transported several kilometers - it is not clear what technology was used - but it is certainly a technical

Our tour began in Carnac in the prehistoric museum. Here the finds from the excavations are exhibited and you can get a good idea of how people lived 5000 years ago and how they made tools, for example.

Then we went into modern times, to the 17th century, to the church of St. Cornely with its wonderful

After two days of sun and beach 🏖️ on the west beach near Plouharnel between the dunes and old fortifications, we moved on to the Quiberon peninsula today.
