Neukölln is one of the most well-known hip districts in Berlin. It is the place where many cultures meet. However, the area also has an exciting history, many green spaces, cultural highlights and exceptional spots. We have put together seven routes for you based around different themes that invite you on a journey of discovery through the five districts of Neukölln, occasionally venturing into the neighboring districts. The routes are 7 to 18 miles (11 to 29 kilometers) in length, easy and short, so you can take a lot of time for breaks.
Taking canal paths, heading through parks and gardens and following green corridors and the former Berlin wall, you can comfortably cycle through Neukölln, Britz, Buckow, Rudow, and Gropiusstadt. Countless small and large parks such as the neo-Baroque Körnerpark or the Comenius Garden are perfect places to take a relaxing rest.. The east side of the Tempelhofer Feld is also situated in Neukölln. Here, you can really let off steam on the former runway. Cycle through the Bohemian village and around the horseshoe settlement, visit the castle and the Britz manor. In Rudow and Buckow, you will find historic village centers which contrast greatly to the Gropiusstadt with its almost 19,000 apartments. You can also climb up the highest “mountain” with the pleasant sound of the Dörferblick and explore one of the last two mills in Neukölln.
Whether you are fascinated by museums and history, the typical Neukölln neigborhoods and streets or if you simply feel like cycling: there are many exciting places waiting to be discovered on all seven routes.
