Löwenburg

The Löwenburg is the second highest mountain in the Siebengebirge after the Großer Ölberg. At the summit are the ruins of the Löwenburg. It is of volcanic origin, just like the other prominent and still cone-shaped mountains of the Siebengebirge. It is worth taking a break up here and enjoying the wide view. But you have to carry all the things for a picnic up the mountain yourself, because there is no possibility to buy anything here.

Top view on the 2nd highest mountain of the Siebengebirge and there is the possibility to explore the remnants of the medieval Löwenburg on the freely accessible area.

From here you have the most beautiful panoramic view of Bonn, Rhöndorf, the Rhine and the Siebengebirge. Excellent place to take a break
