I finally pulled myself together and cleaned and lubricated my bike on Monday. With nice weather 🌞 I was able to do my first tour of 2022 today.

After a break of about 3 weeks, due to bad weather or no time, it should finally be back in the saddle today.

At cool temperatures 🥶, but 🌞 I started in Süchteln in the morning. From there it went over the high road towards Dülken and then over the old railway line to Waldniel, in order to get from… czytaj dalej

Today and tomorrow I have visitors from the Voreifel and we plan to do two bike rides. The weather was surprisingly good and after a few kilometers the sun showed up 🌤

The first tour started today in Brempt (because we could only start later) and took us via Oberkrüchten into the Meinweg National Park… czytaj dalej

Since we were able to start a little earlier today, the tour should also be a little longer.

With initially cooler temperatures and initially less 🌤 we started addiction. This time I wanted to bring the area northwest of Süchteln closer to the Voreifel visitor. 😉

With sunny 🌞 weather and a blue sky, I was supposed to go to my favorite area for the first time this year, the MeinWeg Nat`l Park and the Elmpter Schwalmbruch around the Venekotensee.

Last year I discovered a great cafe in a blueberry field near Broeckhoizen/Limburg🇳🇱 (Blue Berrie Hill), unfortunately it has now closed. 🙈

Now I have discovered another cafe (Plantage Blankwater) and it should be comfortable there today.

With a cloudy sky, but pleasant temperatures and temporary sunshine 🌤, we decided to ride a bike.

The tour should be very comfortable and that's why we took a pot ☕️ with us.

With this beautiful weather you just had to get out. The wind held back and the sun shone all day long.

This time I took a slightly different route from Süchteln to Boisheim and further to Brüggen this time I used an alternative along the Schwalm.

After a long time (since the end of October) I was finally able to go on a small tour again today. After the bike is fine again, the weather is fine again and the stupid cold has subsided after 9 weeks (except for a cough), it should stay with a smaller round for the time being.

On Father's Day, the six of us went on a little bike ride with women.

The weather was sunny 🌤, but a little cooler wind from time to time.



We started with a breakfast together with friends 👍, so first with a break 😂.

The plan was actually 85 km, but here and there left and right, sometimes up a dump, sometimes into the city center and already I was missing 500m on the 💯, so I quickly hung a corner and it fit and the battery held exactly that Route.

Actually I had planned the tour a little differently, from Xanten I wanted to take the ferry and then via Rees to Emmerich and on the other side of the Rhine back to Xanten.



Now I had decided at short notice to go via Wesel, because I drove the entire Rhine from Ludwigshafen to Emmerich. The disadvantage… czytaj dalej

Today's tour took us, with jacket on - jacket off weather, first over the Süchtelner heights to Hinsbeck.

From there, mostly along the north canal to Herongen and then over the Dutch border into the Massduinen Nat`l Park, past Zwart Water to the old smuggler's path near Straelen and then to Arcen on the… czytaj dalej

With the warm temperatures, there should be another tour today. The only question was whether to go to Liedberg or to the fruit farm and ice cream paradise in Vorst. In the end, we linked the goals. 👍

Today it was mostly over unpaved stretches, but in an idyllic landscape in the Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park and especially to the Nette lakes. The aim was to drive as close to the Nette as possible.



The Nette rises in Dülken and should not be confused with the Nette river on the Middle Rhine.

In wonderful autumn weather it should be a home tour today. Nevertheless, I initially used the car and only started in Born near Brüggen.



Today I wanted to drive a little off the beaten track through the Elmpter Schwalmbruch and MeinWeg.

The weather forecast was good, the time was there, so buckled the bike on the car and once again considering a river tour.



This time I first went to Duisburg-Homberg, where I parked my car at a park (Friesenpark) and could park it for free.

Today my car had to be inspected and the tires changed. So my bike on the back, car to the workshop and I used the time to go on a little tour.



Without a big goal, I had a rough direction in mind and so it became a tour with many breaks and a meal at lunchtime.
