The Kochelsee impresses with its beautiful mountain scenery and wooded banks and is therefore a dream for all cyclists who want to be very close to nature. In summer, the lake is ideal for resting because there are four swimming areas where you can refresh yourself in the cool water on hot days.

Lake Walchen also makes the hearts of water sports enthusiasts and anglers beat faster: swimming, sailing, surfing, diving, fishing and boat trips are popular here.

As a true cycling and hiking paradise, the Two Lakes Region also offers all sorts of varied excursion destinations with tours of many levels of difficulty.

The Baggersee can be great around the bike. The many trees along the way donate cool shadows in the summer and make a tour so altogether very pleasant. For resting, the lawns and swimming pools, which are distributed around the lake. Here you can not only relax in the grass, but also jump into the water and refresh yourself.

In the seaside resort of Murnau you can relax on a spacious lawn or relax in one of the deck chairs on the beach. The beach volleyball court provides action on land and in the water you can let off steam on the diving board and the raft.

A little tip: entry to the lido is free from 5 p.m. A visit at such a late hour is worthwhile not only because of this, but also because you can later watch the romantic sunset on the lake.

The seaside resort is open daily from April to September. Admission for adults costs 4 euros and for teenagers 1 euro. Children under 8 years of age pay no entrance fee.

The Altmühlsee is a real highlight, both for cyclists and water sports enthusiasts. There is a beautiful cycle path around the entire lake, and the lake is also ideal for swimming, sailing or surfing.

In the northern part of the lake is the bird island, which is one of the most important protected areas for migratory birds in Bavaria. A visit to the bird island with its observation tower is definitely worth it. However, the bike must be parked because you are only allowed to explore the island on foot. You can reach the island via a wooden footbridge.

This turquoise lake is located about three kilometers south of Schwandorf in a former gravel pit. A sandy beach with a large lawn and a separate non-swimmer area can be found in the natural pool on the north bank, for an entrance fee.

You can swim great at the “Guggi” in summer. A bike trip here is particularly worthwhile on warm days. You can jump into the water at all designated swimming areas and refresh yourself. On the eastern shore of Lake Guggenberg there is also a beach with lifeguards and a kiosk.

Sailing and surfing, bathing beaches and lawns, well-developed walking paths, a playground and a beach volleyball court, kiosk with toilets, adjacent riparian forests. What more do you want for a day at the lake?

Lake Forgensee is picturesquely located in the Allgäu Alps at the foot of Neuschwanstein and the Tegelberg.

The Ammersee is always worth a trip, whether by bike around the lake or relaxing on one of the boats on the lake.

The Great Birkensee with its wooded banks is beautiful. There are lawns between the trees where you can relax comfortably. Nothing stands in the way of jumping into the water to cool off and take a swim. It is safe to swim in the Birkensee again because there is no longer any risk of bathing due to stress. There is a beautiful swimming spot here on Lake Starnberg. Bathing jetties make it easier to get into the water and the large lawn invites you to relax. You can get delicious snacks and cool drinks at the kiosk. Entry to the outdoor pool is free.
