In February 1956 almost all olive trees in Provence froze, so these old trees were "re-imported" from Spain. It was worth it, nice subject.

In the immediate vicinity of the Pont du Gard are a few quite old olive trees.

According to the description, the trees are said to be 3000 years old and come from Spain. They were planted here in 1988. For that they are well approached. You don't actually transplant trees that old.
