Regensburg Cathedral is an impressive building. Along with Cologne Cathedral, it is one of the most important Gothic cathedrals in Germany. The two towers rise 105 meters high - no wonder that the cathedral can be seen from afar. Its construction period is also impressive: it began in 1275, and from 1450 the building was covered and usable. However, the two towers were only completed between 1859 and 1869.

Regensburg Cathedral is the most important church in the city of Regensburg and the cathedral of the diocese of Regensburg. Along with Cologne Cathedral, the cathedral is one of the most important Gothic cathedrals in Germany.
The most important dimensions: total length of the cathedral inside 85.40 meters, width inside 34.80 meters, height of the central nave 31.85 meters, height of the towers 105 meters. A special feature of Regensburg Cathedral is the spatial separation from the older double cloister, which was created by moving the new Gothic building to the southwest.
