This place is known for its impressive natural surroundings and traditional architecture, which reflect the rural life of Andorra in a context of great scenic beauty.
The permanent population is very small, probably less than a dozen people. As it is a rural area, many of the buildings may be used as second homes or for agricultural activities, and are not always inhabited throughout the year.
