At 100 meters, the Käflingsberg is the highest elevation in the area. There is a 55 meter high observation and mobile communications tower on the mountain. The viewing platform is at a height of 31 meters. If you climb the 167 steps, the platform offers you a fantastic view of the national park, the Müritz and many smaller lakes and, in good weather, as far as Waren, Neustrelitz and Neubrandenburg.
The tower, which opened in 2000, was paid for by Deutsche Telekom. The aim of the building was to improve the coverage of the mobile phone network. The tower, which is used as an observation tower, fire watch tower and mobile communications transmission tower, has belonged to the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since 2005.

It is precisely for moments like this that I love my hobby, hiking. You will find places and structures that are still completely unknown to you. And the reward for the hiker, a fantastic panoramic view of the Müritz National Park, and I'm completely alone above the treetops.
