Stairs and bridges lead through the gorge
The Rastenbachklamm between Altenburg and Lake Kaltern is an impressive natural monument with its waterfalls and pools, ivy-covered trees, fallen trunks and rippling cool water.

A trip to the Rastenbachklamm is a must in the region.
Not for people with a fear of heights

Here you walk over lattice bridges and lattice stairs directly on the gorge (the water runs under you) or to the right or left - wonderfully refreshing, especially on warm summer days. The way back from the waterfall back to the parking lot is very very steep uphill where you sometimes have to pull yourself up. Definitely sturdy shoes!
