At a height of 75 meters you will find the viewpoint "Kale Jacob", which refers to a bald head. Where the name Jacob comes from remains a mystery. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Lower Rhine valley and the hills of Veluwezoom, with a view of Didam and Doesburg. Along the path you can still see remnants of the past, from the time when the forests were bare and the soil overgrown with heather. Visit in mid-August to see the blooms of heather, which is visited by butterflies and bees in search of nectar.
