Top cycling routes to highway bridge Oldenburg

Tips

  • The bridge is located on the federal autobahn 28 between the Oldenburg-Eversten and Oldenburg-Kreyenbrück junctions. The motorway bridge of the southern bypass of Oldenburg close to the city spans the Hunte, the coastal canal and the Osterburg canal as well as the state road 866/870 and other city roads. The standard cross section (RQ 26) of the motorway has four lanes in addition to two hard shoulders. There are two additional lanes between the entrances and exits of the Marschweg and Kreyenbrück junctions. The structure consists of a superstructure for each lane. Two expansion joints on dividing pillars divide the superstructure into three sections. The bridge train was manufactured between 1979 and 1981.

  • A crossing at this point is currently (September/October 2023) still possible. Only the direct route from the riverside path is blocked. The path over the long ramps on both sides, parallel to the highway, is free and open.
