Zur Klosterruine La Trapa

Shortly after the French Revolution, Trappist monks founded the monastery to lead a self-determined life here in the Serra Tramuntana. That worked u.a. only because they created terraces and built a sophisticated irrigation system. The stay of the monks gave this place the name 'La Trapa'.
