Deggendorf Altstadt 🏘️

Deggendorf is beautifully situated in the valley of the Danube. Nearby, the Isar flows into the Danube and forms one of the most important floodplain landscapes in Bavaria just outside the city. But the city itself is worth seeing. In the high medieval old town you can admire many historical buildings, while in the cultural quarter all kinds of museums invite to visit.

Deggendorf's late medieval downtown is well preserved, with the historic market square dominated by the massive tower, surrounded by a range of beautifully restored façades.

There is a lot to discover around the Deggendorf town square: very beautiful old churches, museums and various places to stop for refreshments.
