The Titanic Quarter in Belfast is a residential and work area on the former site of the Harland & Wolff shipyard. It was named after the RMS Titanic, which was built there over 100 years ago.

25 years ago, if you were lucky and interested, the friendly security guard would let you onto the extensive factory premises. Today an interesting museum district has been created here. The Titanic Museum is a new type of museum that is really worth seeing: fantastic architecture, spectacular virtual worlds, lifelike replicas, brilliant staging, but apart from a menu and a letter, there are no originals (apart from the old factory facilities outside).
