  • Called Fontana del Nettuno in Italian, it is one of the three fountains in Piazza Navona Rome along with the Fountain of the Four Rivers and the Fountain of the Moor. The Neptune Fountain is located at the north end of the square and is possibly the newest of the three. Its washbasin was originally designed in 1574 by the Renaissance artist Giacomo della Porta, under the patronage of Pope Gregory XIII.
