A huge brick church with neat gables is visible from afar. The monastery complex with museum and studios is elevated above the lake. Some of the buildings are in need of renovation, but as an ensemble they give an interesting picture. The church can be visited for an entrance fee of 4.50 EUR (as of 2020).

The exhibits of the organ museum are housed in the monastery church and the former vicarage. The museum primarily serves to store endangered instruments from the Mecklenburg area. In addition, it is dedicated to researching and presenting the history of organ building.
The visitors learn a lot of interesting facts about the two thousand year history of the organ and the Mecklenburg organ tradition. The museum also has a model showing how the instrument works. An organ can even be played by the visitors themselves. The museum primarily houses organs that were threatened with decay at their original location, were in unused or structurally endangered churches, or had to make way for other instruments. In the regular guided tours you can learn everything about the museum and the exhibits.
The museum also has an extensive specialist library. It can be used by appointment.
