Very nice small shoreline on Moderfitzsee. Ideal for a picnic.
The lake was first mentioned in a document in 1299 (stagnum Westwitz). In addition to 38 other named lakes, it was part of the original equipment of the Himmelpfort monastery.July 11, 2018
You might think the name says it all. Not true, the water is crystal clear. Nice location, worth the detour.

Slightly cloudy lake, very nice swimming spot. I really enjoy swimming there. Motorboats allowed.
