The Nahle is a short course of the Elster-Luppe system in the northern Leipzig floodplain forest.
The running water I. order is today 2.7 kilometers long. It begins at the northwest end of the Elster basin (district of Leipzig) and flows into the Neue Luppe, which has a level of 99.6 m above sea level.

I used to live nearby and have probably driven there a hundred times. The simple beauty of this landscape - still half in the big city - can hardly be adequately appreciated. It is worth it in every season, even now - but most of all in March and April when spring begins, the trees are still bare and the typical alluvial forest flora spreads out in bright colors on the ground.
