For the train passenger in the first half of the twentieth century, the Veghel stop was on the way from London to Berlin. From 1873 trains ran on the 'German line', constructed by the NV Noord-Brabantsch-Deutsche Spoorweg-Maatschappij (NBDS) as an international connecting link.
Passenger transport on the Boxtel-Gennep railway line came to a definite end in August 1950. But there may be a new future for the former German Lijntje.
