Heimatmuseum Reichelsheim

The town hall is definitely worth a detour.

The first exhibition of the “Commission Alt-Reichelsheim” arose in 1966 from the idea of collecting pictures and objects from bygone times. In 1976 she changed the name to “Arbeitskreis Heimatmuseum Reichelsheim” and in the same year opened a local history museum in the town hall with a focus on handicrafts and living around 1900. After a thorough renovation of the building, the overall concept of the museum was changed in 1999 and today's regional museum was created Reichelsheim Odenwald with the working group of the same name on a voluntary basis. Today the regional museum is also the information center in the UNESCO Geopark Bergstrasse-Odenwald.
