The picturesque island town in the south of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania blends harmoniously into the attractive landscape of lakes, fields and forests. Malchow consists of three parts: The historic old town (island), the new town and the monastery.
The historical core is on an island. Romantically located in Lake Malchower, the old town island can be explored from two sides: from the west via the swing bridge and from the south-east via the earth dam.
In Malchow, citizens and visitors always enjoy a wonderful view of the lakes or the green of the surrounding area.
