The section between Berg aan de Maas and Obbicht leads directly over a dike. Cows and horses graze between the cycle path and the Maas, otherwise the meadows serve as an overflow for the Maas.

The name Obbicht is also known, especially in cycling circles, due to an annual fair race called "The Wonder of Obbicht". It was so called because it seemed a miracle that such a small place managed to organize the very first Dutch race every year, after the Tour and to bring a number of notable participants to the start.
