The Pied Piper town of Hamelin is known worldwide as the home of one of the more somber fellows in German fairy tales, the Pied Piper of Hamelin. From May to mid-September, everything is in the spirit of this legend, which comes to life on numerous dates at the Pied Piper open-air play. The revival of this legend takes place in the context of the Weser Renaissance and half-timbered old town with its mysterious alleys.

The city is characterized by a large number of half-timbered houses that have been renovated and restored over the past few decades. Osterstraße is the largest pedestrian zone and offers several restaurants and cafes. It is recommended to explore the whole city center. The beautiful little streets invite you to explore and are very suitable for a break on a bike tour. Shopping is also not neglected. If you feel like it, visit the "Stadt Galerie" - stadt-galerie-hameln.de.
A visit to the Klüt should also be planned, it is definitely worth it. From the Klütturm the view is extremely good and also beyond Hameln.
