View from the summit cross

Although this point is the highest point on the HWK, it is "only" a high plateau. If you follow the second round (Boucle 2), you get to another rocky peak on the eastern shoulder with a very nice view.

The path to the summit leads through the wooded battlefield. Garnet holes and ditches line the way.

Highest elevation on the Hartmannsweilerkopf surrounded by beautiful nature but a sad story.
