This Highlight goes through a protected area
Please check local regulations for: Biosphärenreservat Pfälzerwald-Vosges du Nord
Location: Ramberg, Südliche Weinstraße, Südpfalz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
The road climbs gently and leads at the beginning by so typical for the Palatinate clearing, on which one sees off the road well and gladly times sheep grazing. It leads through the two remote places Dernbach and Ramber, then enters the forest again, climbs a bit steeper and then meanders down again to the Modenbachtal.

The Dernbachstraße leads through a very beautiful valley already in the Palatinate Forest. Quiet and very nice to drive. Definitely plan on a tour.

This climb through the forest is not as long as the Kalmit Rise. He rides well on moderate climbs and the descent is also wonderful. However, there is an intersection with right of way Eighth and at the point of the asphalt is not the best. So you should cycle slowly even if there is no car in sight ...
