The Dalheimer Mühle is perhaps the oldest watermill between the Meuse and the Rhine. In 1231 it would already be written about in old parchments ... It is not known whether you could relax on the terrace during your bike ride back then.

The history of the Dalheimer Mühle begins with a sales certificate from the year 1231. In it Heinrich Herr zu Helpenstein sells the mill to the Cistercians in Ophoven along with ponds and some land. The mill forms the basis for the relocation of the monastery to Dalheim, which was completed in 1258.

Popular excursion restaurant in a particularly beautiful forest-lake location. It is worth noting that the mill wheel is in the Netherlands and the rest of the mill is in Germany.
