The longest reinforced concrete structure and the second longest pier in Poland is 220 m long and 9 m wide.
The pier is about 4.5 m above sea level. The original T-shaped wooden bridge was built in 1881 and was 100m long.
At the ends of these, small sailing ships could drop anchor. The wooden structure was destroyed in World War II.
The new pier was officially opened in June 1971. At the end of the pier there is a jetty for tourist ships. The pier is one of the main attractions of the city.
