Jura, Elsass, Black Forest - the Dreiländereck offers a lot of opportunities for cycling enthusiasts, and Basel is an ideal starting point for each of them. From here you can not only take trips through Switzerland on bikes, but also to France or over the German border into the southern Black Forest.

In the Dreiländereck, all kinds of routes are offered. For those looking for flatter rides that hug the Rhine, collecting the kilometers is easy. If you need something more for your legs, go on a wavy tour to the Elsass (and be rewarded with French pastries!). And if you search the hardcore options, you’re going to want to point yourself in the direction of the Swabian Jura or the Black Forest, or brave Basel’s local mountain, Gempen, which offers a variety of different ascents.

And if your legs need a short break, one of the many museums in Basel come highly recommended, or you can simply grab a ‘Fischli’ and watch the water float down the river.

The fact that you do not have to make many kilometers in Basel to collect altitude is very impressive today: "flat" does not exist here, it goes either up or down and on only 75km you drive a considerable 1550 meters in altitude. Two times you climb the Gempen, the Basel mountain, and get a very good

Anyone who has looked at the Vosges on the high blue or the Blochmont on the tour - today is the day. With the Grand Ballon is an increase in the "hors categorie" on the program, 1043 meters are to be defeated in one go! But the arrival and departure are brettenben, it goes through the Rhine plain and

Today's tour is a wavy excursion across the border into France, into southern Alsace. So pack the ID and take Euros. Up and down it goes without much difficulty through Alsace, again and again you have a beautiful view of the Jura in the south and the Vosges in the north.

Only time or desire for a short round? Then off to the Basel Hausberg! Rauf on the Gempen it goes on small side roads without much traffic, then you drive down on the larger road towards Dornach - here you can run wonderfully, the little bit more traffic disturbs there hardly. And after the short tour

Today it goes to the Black Forest, to the 1164m height of the high blue. It is easy to get out of Basel and in the Marktgräfler Land you have the opportunity to warm your legs in the vineyards before it gets down to business: there are almost 900 vertical meters to the summit of Hochblauen.
