The aim of this Collection is to shine a light on superb hikes that are often overshadowed by other more famous routes in the same region, as well as to reveal stunning hikes in regions that are often overlooked.
Among the routes, you’ll find historic villages with magnificent architectural legacies; canyons that seem plucked from other worlds; exciting, vertigo-inducing suspension bridges; impressive cascades, panoramic peaks; and ruins that testify to the diverse past of our country. This is your opportunity to discover a whole new side of Spain.
The varied nature of these routes means that there’s no one best time to hike them – see the individual Tour descriptions for our recommendations. However, spring and autumn are generally good times to go. The routes that follow rivers and visit impressive waterfalls are spectacular after prolonged rainfall, although warm summer days provide the opportunity for you to take a dip.
There are plentiful amenities at most of the start points. Some are accessible by public transport, or there’s the option of arriving by car. We provide details in the Tour descriptions.
Have a great time exploring the peninsula!
