It has long been our goal to make the entire region around the Black Forest National Park accessible by public transport for everyone. Now, you can easily use buses and trains to access our beautiful hiking routes, visiting the region more sustainably and without the need to find, and pay for, places to park. Better still, guests staying overnight can travel free of charge with the KONUS guest card throughout the national park region and the KONUS area.
The nationwide ‘bwtarif’ makes it easy for you to choose the right ticket. It allows you to use all regional trains, trams and buses in Baden-Württemberg – from Offenburg to Gernsbach and Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt – regardless of the individual operator. More than 50 railway stations and over 450 bus stops make it easy to reach the start point of your hikes. The national park is also served by regional buses that travel to the most popular places. If you’re travelling with othes, the group day ticket is often worth getting. You can find more information (in German) about the bwtarif here: bwegt.de/tickets-angebote/bwtarif. You can find the timetable (also in German) at nationalparkregion-schwarzwald.de/Anreise.
Hop on and enjoy the diversity of the Black Forest National Park region. We look forward to your visit!
