Today we made the last stage of the north-south route, the route goes from the north to the south border of Berlin and is 44 km long.

Arrival in S Röntgental, which is still in Brandenburg, but after a few meters you are back in Berlin.

What else can you see along the way:

  2. I actually wanted to go to the lakes in Brandenburg today, but unfortunately the train was on strike.

The buses and subways were running, so I stayed in Berlin and enjoyed the beautiful day on the Panke and Spree.

My step surprised me today, I haven't managed 6.4 km/h over 16 kilometers for a long time, ok it was just that.

  4. The sun was already shining in the middle of the night, so you just have to start the day early.

Today I was on a "green main path" again, starting from Südkreuz.

At the Schöneberger Südgelände nature park I left the original path, the path through the park is much nicer than the hiking and cycling path

    Good morning Berlin, it's Sunday and I'm going hiking at 7 a.m. It's already 22 C and it's getting to be 32 C.

The outdoor areas in the breakfast café at Volkspark Friedrichshain are already well attended.

I'm not alone in the parks, the joggers, cyclists and dog owners are all out and about too.

Today I did the second part of the Hoenower Weg, this time with a companion.

In the first part we walked through Berlin-Marzahn. It is full of contrasts, concrete meets green and loud and lively meets a quiet village idyll. On the walk through Marzahn, all facets of the often underestimated district are

The Kaulsdorfer Weg begins at Treptower Park, where you can easily get there with the S-Bahn station.

The night was very cold and so the waters were covered with a nice layer of ice.

We only hiked along the advertised path (unfortunately, the signposts no. 8 are no longer posted everywhere, without GPS

The Britz-Buckower-Weg starts at the Alt-Tempelhof underground station (U6) and ends after 9.7 km at the southern city limits in Buckow, where you meet the Grenzweg. The path leads through Franckepark and over Metzplatz before crossing the Colditz Bridge, which connects the commercial areas north and

The inner park ring generously encircles the city center of Berlin. It connects the large and small parks and finds green niches in the city. Since 2008, the large open space of the former Berlin-Tempelhof Airport has also been part of it. Here you

  10. Today the Berlin hiking week continued on "Inner Parkweg 18"

We started from the Westend S-Bahn station, this part of the hike goes through three large parks and is awesome at the temperature of 32 C.

First it goes through the palace complex of Charlottenburg from there to Volkspark Jungfernheide and on

  11. Today we did a section of the inner park ring from Schöneberg train station to Charlottenburg Palace. The weather offered us almost everything today, from sun to rain with gusts of wind and then sun again.

Unfortunately, the markings with the number 18 are very incomplete, I would not have found the way without a note.

  12. Today I did the last part of the GW 18, this part of the way offers a lot of variety and a lot of nice photo motives.

The gasometer where Günter Jauch used to have his Sunday show is now being rebuilt.

I often ride my bike across the Tempelhofer Feld, but it's only on foot that you realize the size of this square.
