Micro Grid - New & Renewable Energy Management System

SOLUTION

By connecting various dispersed power sources to the conventional power system, micro grid enables independent production, storage and supply of electricity.

MG-EMS, which has been demonstrated in KEPCO’s “New & Renewable Energy-based Converged Energy System and Grid Connection Technology Development” project, collects and processes data from the field to enable efficient energy operations, and it is the optimized EMS solution for micro grids.

Consisting of new & renewable power generation facilities such as solar and wind power and energy storage devices, MG-EMS is a comprehensive grid management system for improving the stability and economic efficiency of micro grid.

Using the SCADA function optimized for MG environment, it integrates server, FEP, HMI and EMS applications.

It possesses middleware that meets international standard protocols, and provides an operating environment that combines applications and data modeling function based on IEC 61970.

The system’s reliability has been demonstrated by establishing microgrids in Gasa-do, Joindo-gun, and Anhwa-do, Shinan-gun.

By completing a demonstration project in Penetanguishene, Canada, the foundation for overseas exportation has been established.
