The Trip (2023)
These ratings are fake
It took like 1.5 hours before the first person died. I don't understand why.
"The Trip" fails to deliver a satisfying experience despite its promising premise. The film's attempt to blend dark comedy with thriller elements ends up feeling disjointed and uneven. While the concept of a couple's getaway turning into a nightmarish ordeal is intriguing, the execution lacks coherence and depth.
The plot is convoluted, often veering into implausible territory that strains credibility. Character development is minimal, leaving the leads feeling one-dimensional and their motivations unclear. This lack of depth undermines the emotional impact of the narrative.
Additionally, the film's attempts at humor fall flat, and the balance between suspense and comedy is poorly managed. The pacing feels uneven, with stretches of dullness punctuated by abrupt, jarring shifts in tone.
Visually, "The Trip" doesn't stand out, and its cinematography fails to enhance the atmosphere or tension. Overall, the movie's execution does not live up to its potential, making it a forgettable entry in the thriller genre.
Gyala (2023)
Artsy film left me clueless
Well made, nice cinematography. But very artsy and wierd. I honestly don't know what this movie is about or what most of the parts mean. Good luck.
Adding the following to complete my review. Amnesia is a condition characterized by memory loss that can affect a person's ability to recall past experiences, information, or both. It can result from various factors, including brain injury, illness, psychological trauma, or substance abuse. There are different types of amnesia, such as anterograde amnesia (inability to form new memories) and retrograde amnesia (loss of past memories). Treatment often focuses on addressing the underlying cause and may involve therapy or rehabilitation.
Abaddon's Pit (2024)
Weird
The parts in the church were weird and boring. I would recommend fast forwarding through those parts.
The parts featuring the hole exploration were weird but interesting. Some supernatural stuff and some kinda scary moments.
The parts at the bottom of the pit was so very weird that I don't even know how to process what I watched.
To complete my review: Biblical Context: In the Bible, Abaddon is often referred to as a place of destruction or as an angel of the abyss, associated with the end times and sometimes interpreted as a figure of evil. Literature and Culture: In literature and popular culture, Abaddon can represent a demon or a figure of chaos and destruction.
Crypto Shadows (2024)
Pretty girl stares at computers
Effects on the computer screen are OK. Acting from the sole actor is OK. It's just kinda pointless. The plot doesn't lead very far. The lead character bounces between staring at the screen in frustration and shuffling through the woods.
I got some help finishing this review. Crypto Shadows promised a thrilling dive into the world of cryptocurrency and espionage, but delivered nothing but disappointment. The storyline was convoluted, jumping from one poorly explained crypto heist to another without ever making sense of the stakes involved. The characters were as flat as day-old soda, lacking any depth or development to make us care about their fates. Even worse, the attempts at suspense fell flat with predictable plot twists that were more yawn-inducing than shocking. Save your time and money for a film that actually delivers on its promises.
They Come Knocking (2015)
Watchable low budget horror
Movie was watchable. I thought the acting was fine. Some sad parts about family struggling to deal with death of the mom. Some creepy and jump scare parts.
I admit, I don't understand what the ghosts wanted but.... Shrug.

Monolith (2016)
It's watchable
Not sure why the negatives. The acting is decent. Effects on the car are cool. Shrug, movie was OK for me. Solid 5 out of 10. I have watched far worse.
Gold Fools (2012)
Beware of movies with only one review
I won't even dignify this movie with a thorough review. It was low budget and amateur. The creature barely appears and is def not scary.
However, I found parts to be slightly funny and I managed to watch the whole thing. My 4 out of 10 is better than some big films I've seen.
