iCarly: iBuild a Team (2022)
One of the best episodes in the series
Honestly everything about this episode was entertaining. Especially the last scene. 2 characters had weed gummies and it was literally the best scene in the series. This was the best episode in the series if im being honest.
Abbott Elementary (2021)
Actually an amazing show
Amazing cast, amazing writing and storytelling and no spoilers! I 100% recommend. To be honest while watching the show I don't have a favorite character as of yet and you do root for everyone. These types of shows are like the light hearted sitcoms but touches on deep subjects amazingly in 20 minutes (similar to the golden girls style of writing). We need more shows like this casting wise and genre wise! Also k heard teachers absolutely love this and find this relatable and only specific type of teachers don't understand this show. So please y'all watch this with an open mind. Also it's very similar in the form of the office but it's just the genre of the show. Mokumnet. I hope shows like this actually give Hollywood people ideas to create more shows like this. Lately it's all been drama and action movies and shows.
Grand Crew (2021)
A good show if you pay attention
First time I watched it I wasn't really paying attention, until I did and realized this show is really good. I'm not gonna spoil it but the show is more like a sitcom where nothing is going on the show and focused more on the comedy and writing aspect. I love these types of shows because there's not alot of shows similar to this casting wise. We need more seasons and even a weed episode.
The Neighborhood (2018)
Sucks but now why people think it does
This show is bad for many reasons but not for what the reviews are saying. First the creator of the show is white. Literally the whole point and message is similar to "why can't we all just get along" than during the promos of season 4 we learn the creator of the show stepped down for making racially insensitive comments. How ironic? Than the whole show in general was kinda saying how we shouldn't bring attention to it and it seems like black people are the problem racism exist (even though they didn't invent it). Also why is a white guy writing a show about race? Tv executives should see after this show why doing that it is a horrible idea. When literally the show creator can't even try to practice what he pretends to preach. So yes the show is very bad. But not for what y'all are saying on here.
The Freak Brothers: Bo-Freakien Rap-Sody (2021)
An amazing heartfelt episode!
This is one probably one of my favorite episodes because they did a trope right! The story with schoolboy a was amazing! And the second story is them going to charity and the ending to the episode was really heartfelt and it showed this show can be amazing if it had more serious lines! Amazing setting but I think it needs more writers to do more serious stories to get peoples attention.
No Good Nick (2019)
A different reason why it's bad
So I'm reading the reviews on here and the bad ones all kinda sound the same but one I really agreed with. I watched the whole show rooting for the main character. After seeing what this family did cheating, lying, not helping anyone yet they get the happy ending? They literally ruined nicks family and literally when she told them what happened they didn't even care as much. Just that they stole from them. It honestly sounds like the poc experience. Someone said it was "woke" but I don't know. She literally forgave them for destroying everything that happened with her dad and they treated him like he was a bad guy. Capitalism also definitely played into it as well. This show was bad but not for the reasons everyone is saying it is.
High Holiday (2021)
Really good Stoner holiday film
This is a first I must say. I was nervous about a Stoner movie about Christmas but everything about this was amazing. Jennifer tilly was just amazing! In this movie! This is now one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time.
A Loud House Christmas (2021)
Was Decent
I was cute. There was some Awkwardness but it's a Nickelodeon cartoon in the world so I'm not surprised but literally everything else was so spot on about this movie that was so originally correctly detailed to the original cartoon. They did such an amazing job.
Pretty Smart (2021)
An amazing show that needs a season 2
This show was so amazing. The writing was amazing. They definitely need a season 2 to answer those unanswered questions. I liked all of the characters. It was easy to follow! But Grant and the astrology/spiritual characters were my favorite. But the gay main character definitely stole the spotlight. Also the girl who plays Emily's sister kinda reminds me of a irl Barbie, especially the way she talks.
Queens (2021)
Dope First Episode
The first episode was amazing. It's like a time period, comedy, drama, musical, and satire type of show. It's good that this is an all star cast and I hope this has more seasons and episodes! Maybe where they could focus less on drama.
Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog (2021)
Entertaining
This was a good movie. It felt slow at first but it really got good near the middle.
Duncanville (2020)
One of the best recent cartoons in a decade
I love this show. The cast ( Amy Poehler, Wiz Khalifa) and the characters are all hilarious. You can tell there was a story in season 1 that was building up or they were just saying outta pocket stuff but either way this show is hilarious and I'm just waiting for a weed episode!
The J Team (2021)
Entertaining
I loved this movie. The story. I love Tisha Campbell and her for this role was amazing. She had me dying laughing. I loved the characters. Her guy best friend. I totally recommend this.
Smiley Face (2007)
Meh what was that ending?
It was a good story besides the few awkward scenes like Jane lynch. I had to watch some scenes on mute because of second hand embarrassment. But what really got me is the director did this movie for his Stoner friends to enjoy. But she never got a happy ending at all. Like she went to jail for 5 years. Than what? They were talking about a sequel 10 years later after this film but I a haven't heard anything but I would watch a sequel because it's now legal and her character deserves justice for that kinda crappy ending to an okay film. What I did like was how relatable she is. Sure she's 2 dimensional but we've all done things she's done stoned. I was kinda confused why people keep recommending this movie and I still do after watching because of the not happy ending.
Dude (2018)
Eh
To me this movie was very slow paced and I had high expectations there was gonna be more Stoner comedy scenes and etc. But we mostly just got a lot of fast and vague story telling. The premise works and someone even said this would work better as a series. It would give it more time to grow and really the pacing was just weird. They start of the movie really sad but than want us to laugh during it? I know it's supposed to be a teen dark comedy about stoners but it felt like something was missing.
Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (2020)
One of the best Stoner shows in recent years
So last year I actually did hear about this show but I never knew why I never gave it a chance. This was around the beginning of the pandemic so I was probably doing more things on social media. However recently when I saw the trailer for season 2 it genuinely looked hilarious than I searched up the show and than I recognized where I've seen it before. But instead of pushing it off I actually gave it a chance and oh my god. I absolutely love this show and I wish more people will talk about it. I love the story telling, characters, and the Stoner comedy. This show is like one of the shows where they are normal experiences but with more tmi dialogue and because of the characters it makes an interesting and realistic and relatable show (For example Living Single 1993-1998). I don't think I've ever seen anyone take dabs on a cable/streaming sitcom and make it funny like Akwafina did. I'm also in the middle of season 2 and it's really good so far. I hope Comedy Central can give it more seasons and episodes. Y'all know how they like their 2 season shows and than cancel them or not offer more money (which they should if the person is giving them more viewers to the channel) Akwafina is just doing that. It literally had 400 million views it's debut episode aired and than it DOUBLED that the 2nd season. Obviously this show has potential and I hope they don't mess it up but ending it too soon. My only complaint is when they don't fully tell a story but for the comedy sake. Like in the first episode she said she burns down her friends house after the scene where they go online and make money. I actually liked that character Nora was with but I'm assuming something happened and why they didn't talk the rest of episode. Still, is she okay? Where does she live now? Is she still mad at Nora? And agin they did this for the sake of comedy and saving time. But maybe they should do more of a deep dive episode this season or if they get picked up for a third season. Also in a recent episode with the grandma and her cousin fighting and her hilariously bringing up cannabis being illegal but it was made legal in New York recently. I commented on the shows Instagram about how they should mention that next season about weed being legal in New York and make that a whole episode. Than the star and show runner Akwafina liked it. So maybe if it does get picked up we will get an all weed related episode. Now agin it's not like there's barley weed or Stoner like things in the show because there always is. Like the first episode and having a smoke sesh and etc. Or when Nora hits her dab pen and talks to her high school (I think) neighbor or agin the dabs or her working for a CBD store (since CBD is one of the main key factors while smoking cannabis but doesn't get you high) this show is very open minded to Stoner comedy like that and I'm here for it. I totally recommend this show to anyone and lets do everything in our power to make it stay for a while!
Cory in the House: Who Let the Dolls Out (2008)
An Episode done right and an instant classic.
What I remember about Corey in the house was a lot of it was original like this episode. Corey makes a doll for the presidents daughter Sophie and haunts him with it. Everything about this episode is perfect. The comedy. The morals and lesson of the story. Where perfect. While the only negative thing is making his friends totally stupid in this episode I hate that. Other than that it was a good episode.
