Mother/Android (2021)
Yet another VOD film that will be forgettable.
It seems like they can't get the formula right with these streaming platforms, and the need to have everything be politically correct is ruining the industry. The acting was subpar, and the androids seemed kind of off and cheesy, more like a zombie movie rather than an android uprising. It also can't be an American movie unless the couples are mixed, make a movie, and stop trying to force this already dull agenda.
The Witcher (2019)
way to ruin an IP netflix
You've heard and read it all before and yet this is still somehow a highly rated show. Netflix just loves to make absolute garbage and this is no exception. They couldn't just stick with the source material and allow a great fantasy story to be told the way it should be, becuase there isn't enough diversity in america. YES THERE IS and its ok to have something that does not include any or maybe just a little. I would much rather play the game again and read the books again than watch this drivel. Henry Cavill was the only thing worth watching and the rest was unnecessary 100%
Candyman (2021)
Candymen..apparently
This wa more of a message than a movie and it was poorly explained, the fact that they said in interviews that they wanted to "take back the narrative" should have been enough. There was nothing to take back, this was a work of fiction and blatantly disregarded the original work and turned it into a mess. The ending with Tony Todd being revealed at the end was cool and all. However, it made zero sense and apparently every tragic person that died in history that was african american got to be a "candyman". Convaluted story and the director and jordan peele had zero passion in this film. This was not a candyman movie at all, it was just a sad attempt at trying to use a multi million dollar film as a campaign for the obvious.
Wrong Turn (2021)
Should not be called wrong turn
Not a single redeemable quality from any of the characters in this film. The film was directed well enough but the movie itself was just not what I'm sure a lot of people expected. Overly entitled millennials and a dad who thinks his daughter can do no wrong when she was probably the worst of the bunch. This movie does not deserve to be called the wrong turn under a different title maybe it would have been an okay movie but trying to cash in on a series that wasn't that great to begin with was a bad idea.
No Small Parts: James Hong (2017)
An Amazing Documentary on an equally amazing actor
I was very excited to see this documentary, especially since I have been a fan of James Hong for some time. It was very well done, a respectable piece of art that I would love to watch over and over...at least until it was taken down for copyright infringement.
The edited version will likely be good, but the original did provide a lot of insight into the career of, not only James Wong. Also, for the many other Asian actors who have had to deal with being stereotyped and given roles that were very offensive in the way it represented the character.
I was hoping to check out those documentaries, but since one person decided that the video should be taken down. I guess I will just never know what it was. A lot of hard work went into that video and I believe that it should be seen in its entirety. Brandon put a lot of effort and passion into that on video. Considering his current library, this was a huge project for the team at No Small Parts.
I for one would like to see it be restored.
SuperMansion (2015)
Great Show! Very surprising show from Crackle
I found this show on crackle in the wee hours of the morning and could not stop watching it. I loved robot chicken so this was a real treat and very well done, the voice acting and story lines were great. I can't enough good things about this show, I was surprised at the all star cast that they got to do these. I'm really looking forward to more episodes and even more seasons, awesome show and definitely worth the watch. Its not too over the top or ridiculous like family guy or some of the other shows. It does a good job at making some of the jokes smart.
The creators of Robot Chicken really outdid themselves with the show and coming up with characters which were likable and hilarious.
