Before watching this movie , I've never actually heard of Dalton Trumbo ,and with all my love for classic movies i feel a bit ashamed.In the end Trumbo turned out to be quite a character.The movie itself wasn't hyped at all , since nowadays people only care about either stupid comedy flicks or over-hyped action movies, and stopped paying attention to cool and interesting films.The biography/drama uses its great actor cast to show a story about politics,pride,anger,money,and everything else found in Hollywood.I thoroughly enjoyed the acting,Since Bryan Cranston puts up a beautiful performance(earning him an Academy award nomination),and the director does a good job to showcase the deep persona that the screenwriter Dalton Trumbo is .But the thing that got a 9/10 from me was the atmosphere, which is depicted in the most fascinating fashion.It actually feels as if people are all douche bags(which they are), and everyone tries to manipulate and threaten. So if you enjoy good acting ,drama and neat story progression , go watch it, as the mistakes are unnoticeable, and the good things in the movie stick with you for a while(which is nice).
