Kick Me (2023)
You're not in Kansas anymore!
Actually, you are in Kansas. This well played Indie movie is how Kansas/Missouri or the Kansas City metro area is like. I loved how each character was portrayed and the acting was spot on.
The camera work, color grading, lighting, and sound all came out amazingly well. If you know what it takes to do any kind of filming or editing, you will appreciate the technical side of this Indie movie. Kick me also showed the acting talent The Kansas City metro (both the Kansas side and Missouri side) area has to offer.
I really loved the RV scene. That was when you know the rest of the movie is about to get crazy. I will tell anyone to watch Kick Me, it's a mind game that's worth watching.
Poop at Your Place (2019)
this was prairie dogging.
Pull up a toilet and read this review. The whole theme made a huge splash and didn't stink up the place. At first the character was too scared or tight to let it all out. A first time is always the hardest, you have to push right through it.
I really loved the musical angle, singing relaxes the muscles so you're not backed up. The piano room set up with the "seat" was golden and a great visual.
You know your relationship is solid when you drop a solid deuce at your partners house. The dinner scene was beautifully done, eating and talking about pooping is the deal maker and showed how solid relationships cannot be so bad when you have to go really bad.
GREAT JOB, THIS #2 GET A TEN FROM ME!
Supercool (2021)
Coming of age film
This is not your average coming of age movie. It has new slang that keeps you glued to the screen. The obstacles that are thrown into the movie also keep you glued to the screen wondering what's going to happen next.
I enjoyed the acting in this movie. The chemistry and connections between each character made it feel like it wasn't acting, and you are watching real life. Some movies the actors go over the top of are flat the whole time, not with these actors, they did great!
It may not be for the young audience but the adults who watch it will enjoy the flow and pacing of the movie. I hope it continues to grow a fan base. I enjoyed it, so will you!
