Just... don't watch it.
Honestly started off decent. Cheesy but entertaining and great actors.
But, seriously?! This overweight cream puff is a spy? Gina Davis in a long kiss goodnight was believable. But you can't tell me some overweight, goofy, lazy ass cat woman is some all great spy.
This is the problem with the crap they are writing nowadays. It's not that telling an unbelievable story is bad, we love them. But some out of shape loser isn't going to all of a sudden get memories and be great again. This is written by a fat person that doesn't know any better.
Also, seriously, tapping? You really think special forces tap wildly on their temples to calm down? 😂😂😂 Stop trying to make people with problems feel better.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023)
Classic Action movie with Guy Ritchie flair
I don't understand how people could not love this movie for what it is!
If you love classic Action Movies... you will love it.
If you love Guy Ritchie movies... you will love it.
The acting is wonderful. Statham is his classic self. Aubrey Plaza shows up and owns her role. Hartnett is so good. Think, Luck Number Slevin. Huge Grant is spot on!
Honestly I think that they made a very entertaining action movie that we have been missing for so long. Mission Impossible, Fast & Furious, Marvel... everything takes it sooooo far now. And while entertaining... this is a throwback to Mission Impossible 2 with a Guy Ritchie, Snatch, Lock Stock spin on it. It's smart and action packed.
Well done and in my opinion a must watch for anyone looking for a good action movie!
History of the World: Part II (2023)
So bad!
Almost nothing in this series is funny. Nothing is even close to Part 1 in terms of story or comedy. Skip it and use your time more wisely, like sleeping.
When you think about Mel Brooks, it's either slapstick comedy or makes you think comedy or both at the same time. This feels like there was nothing scripted and they just turned the camera on.
This is NOT the Mel Brooks Part 2 we have wanted for years. They should have called it something else but obviously like everything in Hollywood they wanted to use something successful in the last to help with the marketing.
I wish I had more to write but it's just too bad to give anything more.
Kaleidoscope (2023)
It's just not good...
Don't let the gimmick of watching it in any sequence convince you to watch this. You will not feel anything for any of the characters and care even less about the story.
The acting is so bad. The editing is even worse. It's like the director asked the actors to try the scene a few ways, and then the editor had no idea what the finished story would look like.
The writer clearly came up with the concept first, then created the characters, then hoped it would work in the story.
To sum it up, if it wasn't called Kaleidoscope, and convinced you it was cool to watch anyway you wanted, the ratings would be 4s and 5s.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
Episodes 1-9 great, 10 Horrible
Was this just to make some money? Why bother?
I actually enjoyed the first 9 episodes. I thought they brought back Dexter. It was a nice spin. It brought back some good memories of a great show! I was looking forward to more seasons.
Then episode 10.... Damn... why didn't they leave things alone?! Would have rather that they didn't come back at all and left us with the original ending, than end it like this. As bad as the GoT ending :(
Worth watching... I guess. As long as you are good with disappointments.
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
Not as good as the first
Love Duane and Kevin in almost everything they do now both on and off of the screen.
This movie felt flat to me. Similar to the first, it starts off slow, building up the characters. But this was TOO slow. If you are not a fan of old people in young people scenarios, this is not going to be the movie for you. To me, that's been done so much that this movie felt repetitive and boring at so many parts. The most funny and maybe the only funny parts, is when the original group was interacting.
Where the first movie focused on Jumanji and relationships where built into the threads. This is about relationships and Jumanji was sprinkled in between.
I give it a 6 because it's a movie that it's worth watching but only once. Where, I have and will watch the first film over again.
Sorry Danny and Danny, the idea of you being in the film overshadowed the storyline of the film since the moment they signed you. This theme of "how funny would it be if" and "old guys" was just too dull and has been done to death in comedies.
Gosford Park (2001)
Seriously...The worst movie of all time!!!
Let me begin by saying. The reason that everyone is saying that this movie was slow and boring and not a murder mystery is because of the advertising. Even the DVD says it is an amazing murder mystery. As far as you people out there that saw the movie in a different way and liked it...good for you. However, if i told you to go see Saving private Ryan and that it was a Romantic Comedy and it was sold as a romantic comedy would you call it a good movie? It missed on all points of what they were trying to get across. As far as the movie being a "I can't sleep because i am an insomniac and i hope that this will help" film. It's right on. No mystery, no one even cares that the guys dies, or even that they could be next. The murder doesnt even happen until the end of the movie and by that time I was hoping that I could get back the 2 hours of my life I just lost.
Please just call it as you should. A mans hope in creating a wonderful movie but fell very short because of the lack of plot.
I BEG YOU ALL WHO READ...IF YOU HAVEN"T SEEN THIS MOVIE THERE IS STILL TIME. GO RENT MULHOLLAND DRIVE IF YOU WANT A GOOD MYSTERY. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!
