Don't Worry Darling (2022)
I hope Wilde is paying for Florence's chiropractor bills for carrying the whole entire movie
The concept of the movie was good, but needed to be taken a bit further in my opinion with detail. A lot happens in the movie that basically requires the audience to accept without question.
Over explained movies are obviously no fun, but this one just left me annoyed because in two hours, I feel like they could have done a lot more.
Florence Pugh gives an amazing performance. If anyone has seen Midsommar, they would be aware that she knows how to give an emotional performance with or without supporting leads. She is the body and soul of this movie and it would be a complete disappointment without her.
Pugh made the movie interesting, but the writing and directing did not excel in the movie. The cinematography was wonderful and there was some great acting from some people and that's about it.
The Prince (2021)
Funny for the unfunny
I usually don't diss other peoples sense of humor because everyone is entitled to like what they like. However... this show is just simply not funny.
I refuse to believe that this show is written by professional comedy writers because it's so weak. I wish the show would have gone further into the satire of the royal family because making an adult animated comedy that attacks the deeply ironic topics surrounding the royals. But instead it just makes weak jokes like making the queen swear or god forbid.. burp!!!
I don't even know what I'm supposed to laugh at because either the whole entire show is anti-humor or just such bad humor that it makes people laugh.
Last Night in Soho (2021)
Major letdown
I was really excited to watch this movie because I found the trailer intriguing, but I quickly became bored. For some background- i'm the type of person who usually needs to pause thriller films because I will get so uneasy. This movie failed to ever build and maintain any momentum which didn't elicit any emotion.
In my opinion, the only redeeming quality to the movie is the cinematography. Chung-Hoon Chung used vibrant colors while maintaining an eerie tone which kinda made up for the lack of suspense.
