The Wheel of Time (2021)
Liked the Show but felt it could be Improved
This fantasy TV series was not bad; it did have the cliche Dark One but for some reason as you start out watching the Dark One does not feel cliche. Yes, the Dark One has minions like all other Dark Ones you find in fantasy dramas but the ones in this TV series are not easy to beat and you almost always need a plan before you go and battle against them.
Character wise my favorite are Moriane and Lan, there Warder and Aes Sedai bound is so different comparing it to the other Aes Sedai and Warder's that its intresting to watch it on screen. I also feel that you do not see enough of their Aes Sedai and Warder bond in the series; Moriane is always with the children and when she is not, Nynaeve appears and stays for most of the show.
The personality of most of the character's in this series have no depth and is devoid of any atracting characterists. Nynaeve is by far the worst, the wanna be tough girl with a serious chip on her shoulder is more off-putting than anything else. The other characters fall flat is areas were they shouldn't, and while I can understand their distrust of Moriane, well, shrug.
Moriane personality I like almost completly, the only thing I particularly dislike is how closed of she is with Lan and the people it is said she is close with.
Lan I pretty much like all the way, the only thing I dislike is his relationship Nynaeve. To me this does not make any sense, Nynaeve distrusts Moriane and dislikes Aes Sedia in general so Lans relationship with her opposses his bond, his friendship with Moriane, and more.
I will admit many of the lines were said repetitvely throughout the series, this did need some work. The animation effects I thought there would be a little more, the scenes themselve were nice and so were many of the costumes. I just wish there was alittle more plot in the first season, hopefully the second season will have at least ten episodes.
Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments (2016)
Spoilers, Criticing --- Comparing Movie and Tv
I watched the movie Mortal Instruments and most of the show; I have to say i prefer the movie. The reason is simple Clary, Jace, Simon, and what happens to Raphael.
The actress who play's Clary in the movie I liked better, why? the Clary in the movie while was still demanding they help was also respecting the people she met. The Clary in the movies did not know these people knowing they could help made her respectful as she did not want to offend anyone.
The actress who played Clary in the show portrayed her as disrespectful even when first meeting someone, demanding, and ignerant.
Jace movie I liked more because while he liked Clary and faund over her he was still respectfull of Alec who was the leader of their group as well as older brother.
The Jace in the tv show did not do this at all in the first season and not as much in the other two; and the way Tv Jace faned over Tv Clary almost made you think Jace was bespelled not in love.
Raphael is the easiest to do, I not like the in the Tv show they turned him human. It did not make sense to turn him human nor for him to like the transition. Raphael had lost the last of his family that lived in the mundane world; there was nothing left for him there. The only thing I could think of is he was in the honymoon phase; he had not quite relised what he had lost and that he was going to have to start over once more.
SImon, the only redeming quality about Tv Simion know matter how many time I think about it is that he is cute. Tv Simon is annoying has caused problems for Raphael more than once and he is very inconsiderate. He goes back to Raphael and calls Rapael whenever something vampiric came up that he could not handle. The thing that Simon kept forgeting was that he was not longer apart of the clan because of his betrayal in season 1. Simon also never even bothered to learn about his vampire abilities, believing if he ignored them that they would somehow vanish.
Kuroshitsuji (2008)
Interesting anime, well written characters, good animation :)
I have watched this anime more than once and fell in love with season 1 and all the Ova's. Season 2 I have come to a pretty soild conclusion has nothing to do with Season 1 time frame at all; if season two does happen it happens about two years after season 1 ends. Coming to this conclusion also makes make believe that Season two just does not happen within the Black Butler timeline at all, it would cross paths with at least two other crimes that were being solved by Ciel at the time Season 2 would have also been taking place.
Beside the very confusing Season 2, this show was very good, I loved the characters and the animation was great even comparing it to some of todays animation shows and scenc done in them. The dynamic between the butler and master is good never really changes yet still improves ever season, this is one of my favorite parts about the show.
Hannibal (2013)
Intresting, BUT
Hannibal, is the show were you have intresting characters, but the characters do not make the most sense. Hannibal needs very little work, for me it had more so do with how old they made him apear next to Will, if they made Hannibal look younger or Will older than this would have been fine.
Will on the other hand could not seem to make up his mind if he liked or hated Hannibal; while this does seem to be one of the reasons Hannibal is drawn to Will at first. I do not believe this is something even Hannibals character would have wanted to play for as at as long as he did. Hannibal had to wait two possibly three years before Will even atempted a friendship of some sort.
The show could be about 5 to 10 minutes longer. The show did need at least one extra scene per episode to make the development of the plot and characters have more structure in the show and their relationships.
True Blood (2008)
Why it could be better?
One of the main things that always upset me about True Blood was the way Bill behave toward Eric and any vampire of seniority. Bill would act as if he had the right to know about Eric's life, even information he held, yet when Bill had to offer something in return he would always act as if it was a nuisance or that he had no reason to give the information. One thing that I did not like about Sookie was that all but Bill her, giving her word meant very little. Like Bill she would try to get out of commitments she technically agree to with Eric, yet would blackmail him with her powers if she wanted something from him. It was also obvious that Sookie did not know and did not take the effort to know how the supernatural world worked. In the plot, I did not like that they killed Godric so soon; I would have prefered to have him remain alive till the end of the show, but it would have been better if we saw Erics' maker in at least a few more episodes before they had him great the sun.
