Featured review
At first it seemed like a good proposition, but as it progresses, the movie becomes very cliché, predictable, and just plain boring. I was convinced by the performances and the script but it really is on the wane until it hits rock bottom.
The performances get worse and become unbelievable, Mori and Brickman don't know how to cry, the main plot changes in the middle of the second act, the female characters, especially Mori's, are poorly written and very poorly represented compared to the male characters although these also have lack development. The second half of the film destroys everything that had been built and becomes somewhat tedious. The ending is horrible, the main plot is not resolved and many things do not have a closure either, the only thing that closes it does suddenly and without meaning because it was not developed why it was resolved that way, in short they tried to do something fine but they ended up doing what is always done in modern Mexican movies.
